Thus, we kindly invite scientists, technologists and experts from all over the world to present their valuable works. The Hellenic Society of Thermal Analysis is happy and proud to take the chance to realize this Conference.

Please mark your calendar on July 9-11th July, 2025 for attending the 17th Mediterranean Conference on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (MEDICTA 2025).

We look forward to welcoming you in Thessaloniki, Greece and have a fruitful and enjoyable conference!

On behalf of the Organizing Committee,

Prof. Dimitris Achilias

President of the Hellenic Society of Thermal Analysis

We are pleased to announce that the Hellenic Society of Thermal Analysis (H.S.T.A.) has undertaken and is implementing the organization of the 17th Mediterranean Conference on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (MEDICTA 2025) to be held in Thessaloniki, 9-11 July 2025.We look forward to a large and active conference that will serve as a meeting place for researchers from Greece and abroad, from all the countries of the Mediterranean as the title suggests, and not only. Here in Thessaloniki, they will present their innovative experimental work that falls within the scope of Thermal Analysis in all its fields of application.

We are particularly happy about this effort as it is the second time in 20 years that the MEDICTA Conference will be held in Thessaloniki! At the same time, 2025 is a special year for the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as it marks 100 years since its foundation. We will be happy to have you as our helpers in highlighting the work that is produced and offered to society, within the framework of MEDICTA 2025.

The HSTA, as organizer, thanks the School of Chemistry AUTH and School of Physics AUTh for taking MEDICTA 2025 under their auspices along with GICAT, AICAT, CCTAC-CSCE, AFCAT, GECAT, CATPOR associations, for cooperation when needed.

A few words for HSTA

The Hellenic Society of Thermal Analysis (H.S.T.A.) was founded in 1994 by a group of Greek scientists active in the field of thermal analysis and related techniques. The purpose of this asscoiation is to highlight the scientific work of Greek researchers involved in the field of Calorimetry, to seek collaborations with other scientists abroad and to develop and improve thermal analysis techniques. Through meetings, participation in conferences and publications of scientific papers in relevant journals, we believe that the opportunity is given for a more substantial and constructive contribution of Greek scientists in the area of Thermal Analysis.

After the completion of the formalities and the formation of its first board of directors, H.S.T.A. was accepted as an equal member of the International Confederation for Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (I.C.T.A.C) which has over 6,000 members.

Based on the above, it becomes clear that the activities of HSTA aim not only to promote relevant research in Academic Institutions and Research Centers of Greece, but also to improve the quality of industrial products. This is made possible by providing consulting work to the Greek industry regarding the introduction of the corresponding thermal analysis technology, as required by the competitive international environment.
